Photography, Budapest and Howard Hughes.

Well, here it is, my first post to this website via my iPhone. Nothing too exciting in these days of Facebook and Twitter, but another step forward in my quest for world domination!

I’m a little concerned about how the formatting will turn out – especially with images – but, if you never try, you’ll never know.

I watched The Aviator the other night; perhaps the amazingly dynamic Howard Huges has rubbed off on me a little. Hopefully not the OCD side of his character (although my wife would have you know different), but the sheer energy and determination of the man. I really must read a biography of his!

So, I have decided to make the blogging aspect of the Squire Furnishings website my own personal spot where I can share what’s on my mind in business, photography, travel and life in general.

Many of you may know I’m a very keen photographer outside of running the shop and being a devoted husband and father; my passion is landscape photography, but I love beauty of any kind – which leads me to share the following image with you.

Taken in Budapest on a recent visit, this is the amazingly beautiful Parliament Building. Perfectly symmetrical, shooting this architectural masterpiece at night was my sole photographic aim of the trip. I hope you like it; although it’s not quite ‘perfect’ in my eyes, I’m very pleased with the result. We fell in love with Budapest in out brief time there and look forward to the next time we get to visit!
